whirlpool duet error code fdl (2 posts)

looking online for help to fix the washing machine. it is a whirlpool duet and it has been given us the message "FDL" .

The FDL error means a problem with the lock latch. The first thing would be to check if anything is visibly blocking the locking mechanism, any debris or crud that has built up might be causing the problem.

If nothing is visible, then hopefully your machine is still under warranty. If it is, then look to getting it fixed via the terms of your warranty. If you are no longer under warranty, you could pay someone to fix it, or try to resolve the issue yourself.
