I am using a security suite called G Data TotalCare 2010. I have an issue in that although I have a valid license for this product the virus signature updates have stopped working because I am being denied access to their servers.
I have emailed them twice about this problem and have received only a deaf ear.
I was wondering if any other forum users have experienced this type of support problem?

Proxy problem maybe
I've not experienced this type of poor service, but i don't use this product.
Anyway, if you use a proxy to access the internet, that could be the problem. Try the advice on this page:

Problems with GData Totalcare/Ultimate Internet Security Support
Hi
I have a slightly different problem, but have also had terrible experience of the customer service or support. Over the past two months I have sent multiple emails requesting assistance and have also completed several online forms for technical support. I haven't had a single reply!
My licence has expired two months early, leaving me without protection unless I pay for another year (or another ten months as the case may be).
Are GData not accountable to anyone? Is there any complaint department I can get in touch with?
Very frustrating!

Use the popular vendors like Trend micro, NOD32, BITDEFENDER, NORTON, KASPERSKY .... and so on

GDATA's support and service is non-existant even though I contacted them several times. My final step is to send them a good old fashioned paper letter. I would like some suggestions
on a good anti-virus suite to transfer to.
