Torrents + dos emulation (3 posts)

running windows xp 2gb ram 500gb hardrive i am trying to play a game i downloaded of bittorrent that runs of dos emulator dosbox....I have followed the instructions on how to run this to the letter.. Burnt the image to a disc opened dosbox. created a directory in c: called games...then on dosbox input: mount c c:games. mount d e:(my CDrom drive)-t -usecd 0 -ioctl enter. this works to this stage.. Then i input d: install which doesnt start to install the program even though this should work i believe.. can you help please so i can run this game properly..

DOSBOX

Unless the game is already expanded, it might need to expand some files, which it can't do on CD. I can't remember how to do this in DOS, but maybe you can select a destination for the installation? Or maybe try another of the exe files on the CD (the one named after the game) and see if that runs it.
