Home Network Weird Netstat (2 posts)

I have a small home network between my notebook and my desktop. The notebook is running XP Home and the desktop is running XP Pro. I also have ICS enabled on my dialup connection (established from my notebook). My notebook is set at 192.168.0.1, with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. My desktop is set to obtain IP automatically.

I just ran netstat on my desktop and in reference to the connection to my notebook, it returned 'networkname.mshome.net:netbios-ssn', whereas my workgroup name is not mshome. When I ran netstat on my notebook, there was no obvious connection to my desktop.

It isn't causing any problems, as my network is in perfect working order--I'd just like to know.

Cheers.
