A long story but I hope to give enough information to generate an answer.
My home network consists of a cable modem connected to a Netgear Wireless Firewall router WGT624. I had two PCs connected via Lan cable (PC1 running XP, PC2 running ME), a networked printer (Brother MF) connected by Lan cable and a Dell laptop(1) wirelessly connected (XP). All running well and able to see each other. All connected easily to internet. I have added a new PC3 (running XP) connected via LAN cable as well as another new wireless laptop(2) (XP). All the computers can access the internet via the router. However the problem begins:
1. Laptop 1 now cannot communicate and share with the PC1 &3 (running XP) but can still file share with PC 2 (ME) and can print to printer.
2.The Lan cable connected PCs can see each other and share but although the PC 1&3 (XP) can see laptop 1 they get error message - "can't find network path refer to administrator."
3. The new laptop 2 although network wizard has been run numerous times can not see any of the computers.
4. If I plug my laptop into the network via a LAN cable I can access all but the new laptop 2.
What a mess. I have disabled every firewall (Windows and MacFee) and tried the microsoft network wizard on each and every computer numerous times. It appears cable connected PCs don't want to share with wireless laptops.
Any suggestions?
