Desktop publishing (2 posts)

To whom it may concern,

I'm an interior design student and I'm interested in purchasing some desktop publishing software for my PC. I've looked at the microsoft publisher and the Serif Page Plus X3 and I wondered which product would be the best for me?

I will basically be using it to import images into A3 documents that need to be presented as part of my diploma in Arts, I want a program that can assist me with making my documents more creative and offers a wide range of fonts.

Can you please let me know which product you think would be the best and advise the cost of postage for posting them to a location in Brisbane?

Many thanks,

Donna

Re: Desktop publishing

Donna,

There are many programs that will do what you want

MS Publisher and Serif should suffice. It all depends on how deep you need to go with these presentations.

Corel Draw is another excellent program that would also do what you require. (I believe that it's available in a student edition)

Fonts?? There are innumerable sites around where you can download hundreds of free fonts- more than enough to satisfy your appetite for variation.
