Unreal Tornament Crashes (2 posts)

Hey, I have a Pentium 2 Celeron 300 MMX w/64Mb RAM and a 4Mb graphics card running Windows ME. I have previously run Unreal Tornament using its built in software graphics renderer on past occasions on Windows 98 SE and ME without a glitch. However, for some strange reason, I am unable to execute the game all together, even in Safe Mode. What happens is that the screen fills up with coloured static lines with a small blue warning message saying "Warning...input source out of range".

I have tried re-installing it and I have also updated the drivers for my graphics card and I am not running any background apps while executing it. Can anyone offer any suggestions of what the cause may be? As is stated earlier, it has worked perfectly fine in the past on the same OS!

Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Re: Unreal Tornament Crashes

Your machine is really at the very low end for running unreal - but it should. Try tuning down your video card to 640 x 480 and 256 colours, and then try loading in safe mode (it should do so anyway - it usually does after a failed loading attempt).
