Voip/landline phones (7 posts)

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a dual voip/landline phone. I use skype on my laptop but want to be able to use the phone when computer is off. I access internet via SpeedStream 6500 Gateway wireless modem which works quite well (I also have PC). My question is what phones can I use to achieve this. I have been looking at Phillips Voip 841, and RTX Dualphone 3088 but wonder if this would do the job and are compatible with the SpeedStream. Hope someone can shed some light. Cheers. Dazza

voip phone

This is a very good question as VOIP is good whether a pc is on or off my suggestion is have a look to this site http://jayjoy.acnrep.com not only able to use a voip land line but u can see the person u r talking too. It will work well to any ethernet connection available from your modem.

Try your ISP

My ISP will provide me with a system that works well with their line. It gives me Voip, Wireless, Wired, normal phone and more. Find out what yours is offering

Uniden XDECT R055 + 1

I believe the Uniden XDECT R055 + 1 is a dual line long range phone. It has 2 lines to the phone system allowing you to dedicate one line to landline and one line to VoIP

Thanks everyone. The info you have all given me is very helpful. I think I will look at the XDECT R055
