Cleaning my PC from a net work set up (2 posts)

After finding my 10 year old has set up my PC to run on a network, there is this other person called Jason running my PC. How do I get rid of this pest and return my PC to a one owner/user who does not need passwords to "log on". It has also prevented me from accessing one of my email address as a password is in place there.

Thankyou

ready to kill one 10 year old call "Jason"

Windows asks for a password at startup whenever a computer is set up to connect to a network. However, this password does not prevent you from accessing the computer. Just press Esc when it asks for the password and you will be able to access the computer as normal.

If you want to remove the password request entirely, you will need to remove all the networking components so that the computer can't connect to the network at all. I'm not sure how Jason would feel about that, or if you care.

If you REALLY want to do this, go to the network section of the control panel, and remove everything except for the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). You will need to keep this in order to connect to the Internet.

As for the password on your email, you will need to get the person who set the password to remove it.
