Network blues (1 post)

I have recently insatlled a wireless network. I have done this with a Netgear DG834g ADSL modem connected to my computer via ethernet cable, and installed a WG311v2 PCI network card. I have the updated drivers for XP SP2 installed. My problem exists with the WPA-PSA encryption, as soon as I enter the code/key in the computer with the network card, Windows wants to close the programme and I loose my connection. I have tried WEP which does work, all is running well on my computer as it is connected via cable, to my router and I have connected a HP 7410 printer with the wireless disabled, and this suits me well. As you can see I am running XP SP2.

When I have configured my modem it made little difference whether I enter the key either in the modem or the networked computer first. When this error has occurred I have had to remove the software then the PCI card, reinstall the software then install the PCI card again then enable WEP security to retrieve my connection with my modem.

Hope I have been clear in my explanation.

Please help me, as I really don't want my info all over the neighbourhood.

Mike
