CDSETUP.EXE (5 posts)

I am using WIN 98. When I start or restart my computer I get a message "Cannot find the file CDSETUP.EXE (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available."

I would be grateful for advice and explanation.

Yours sincerely.

John

Re: CDSETUP.EXE

John,

If I recall, it's to do with your CD-Rom. If your CD works fine, look at your Autoexec and put a 'REM' in front of the line dealing with your CD. I also used to go ibnto BIOS and change the 'Boot Order' to disable the floppy seek and boot from 'C' only. IMO, if you can't get to BIOS to change back if you need to, there's not much point being able to find the floppy in the first instance.
