Jedi Outcast MP Problem (4 posts)

When creating a game over our LAN, the create server option works, then as soon as either party moves, or another player attempts to join, the game crashes out. Also, if noone attempts to join, the player initiating the server may get between 30-200 seconds of play, then the game crashes. Everything looks fine up until that point.

The game seems intent on using our dialup connection whenever it starts up, no matter if I specify LAN as the connection type. If I allow the connection or not, the aforementioned problems still occur. I have applied the 1.04 patch. Does anyone have settings that work over a LAN?

Hi

Have the other machines on the network got the 1.04 patch installed? If not that's probably the problem.

Re: Jedi Outcast MP Problem

Yep, the others are v1.04.

Re: Jedi Outcast MP Problem

Hello,

What you need to do is set your dial up account to "never dial" in the Internet options of windows [..Control Panelinternet optionsconection ] this will stop JDKII from trying to conect to the net.

I hope that this helps
