I combine video and still pictures in home movies but the slideshows/stills often (not always) blur when rendered into the final DVD format. The JPEGs are fine to begin with and at 2048x1536 they can easily cope with DVD format with no loss of quality.
All movie software packages suffer it to some extent; Movie Producer 3, Sonic MyDVD, Pinnacle Studio 7. Should I alter the JPEG's beforehand to a fixed size? How come some crystal clear pictures come out looking dreadful on the final DVD movie? Driving me nuts!
Thanks.

Re: Blurry slideshows in DVD movies.
I presume that you are showing these on your TV. If so you are stuck with the fact that they display at a max of 720 x 576, as per the PAL standard. That is one reason why the new Digital RV standards are coming in .

Re: Blurry slideshows in DVD movies.
As I can fit 800 photos at 800KB each on a CD R I make my slide shows with musical accompaniment with windows moviemaker 2 then burn to super VCD with Nero 6-they look fine on 51 cm TV. Alternatively windows moviemaker will make a highresolution movie for digital screen output-but you will need a dual layer DVD to fit the large file on!
