General protection faults (2 posts)

When I try to install some games I get a windows error box appearing...ISSET_SE. It then says I have a "general protection fault" at setup.exe. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

Games include: nascar racing 3+4, carmageddon, and a few others.

However, a lot of others work fine even though they are made by the same manufacturer andor are newerolder. Even if they use the same command line "setup.exe", specs are all ok!

cheers

Re: General protection faults

Hi JJ we need to know more information in order to really help you

Does your video card have enough ram? Does your PC have enough HDD space to install the games? What version of Windows you are running? Does the game run on your version of windows? Do they require direct X ? Have you installed Direct X? Do other games work on your system? Does your system have the minimum requirements to run the game?

The questions will never end but im sure you get the message.

Gus
