When I play Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, moving the mouse slightly moves the cursor to the end of the map. This only happens when I'm half way through a game of DOTA. It does not happen all the time, and generally only starts after 2nd game on LAN or battlenet.

I even tried another new HDD, with same OS (newly installed) & softwares and same problem occurs. Any ideas as to what could have caused it or how to diagnose/fix the issue?

LX700 keyboard with MX1000 mouse with latest firmware.

300Gb HDD

Running XP SP2. I would trash it again and not install anything from Symantec, and also not install Zone Alarm. Run Windows firewall and install AVG7 free edition from www.free.grisoft.com. Note that just removing the progs will not be enough, you need to start over. If this doesn't fix it, you may have a hardware issue, that is the vid card or something is not compatible with the game. There should be a list of supported devices somewhere.

Thank you for your response but I have had a look at Nvidia website, and found no reported issues with their latest driver.

I will try a different mouse/keyboard to see if it helps.

Try the Control Pannel and select "Printers and other hardware" and I would try tuning the sensitivity
