Game 'feature transfer' error (3 posts)

I am having difficulty loading empire earth 3. I get the following error message. Feature:-Install Game Files Component:-Game Files(Default) File:-F:Data2.cab Error:-Data Error(Cyclic Redundancy Check) I am running a Pavilion A1350a Media Centre. Empire Earth 3 will not load for me EE1 &2 were no problem along with their expansions. Why am I have this problem. I have updated my grapics card but still wont work.. Jim M

A CRC error is a file integrity error. Presumably this is a copied disk? Use the original. If it is original is it badly scratched? If so take it to your local video shop and ask them to polish it. Do not attempt to polish a copied disk.

Thanks for the info. It is an original disk straight out of the box. The only copies I use are my own. Will do as you say then see what happens. Jim M
