INet Connection (3 posts)

I have isolated my HP PC as the fault with connecting to the Inet. Telstra have fixed the faulty lines, my laptop dials in OK, I have fitted an external USB Acer Nexus modem to both computers, and the HP still won't connect? but the laptop will. All settings are the same. Have also used the recover disk to get rid of any 'crap' lying around on the drive of the HP PC. Can anyone shed some light? (have not as yet physically removed the internal modem which has failed, but have removed through the device manager)

??? Regards Matt

Re: INet Connection

Hi Matt make sure you have unistalled the internal modem in the add/remove program in the control panel as it still might be in your system even though you have removed it in device manager the actual drivers might still be installed

all the best
