I have been trying to setup my network on my desktop to my laptop, the are both running Windows Vista Home Basic. Belkin have assured me that I don't need to have an ADSL or Cable and as such I can use it purely as a normal network. I have a Belkin 802.11g Wireless Router which includes a connection for a broadband/ADSL access.
My problem lies when I go to setup the wireless network, I cant seem to get it to function correctly in terms of file sharing. So I try to access the Belkin website that contains the 'setup assistant' only to be told that the page can not be displayed. I have also tried to access this site from my laptop with the same effect. Yet when I connect my computers via a LAN cable everything works fine. I should point out that Windows does detect, to the best of my knowledge, the wireless router.
I have emailed and emailed, etc. belkin on this and their responses seem to avoid the subject or give me assistance in all areas except the one I asked.
I have known PC World to explain their solutions in everyday terms, so I ask am I doing something wrong or Is there something with the site I am trying to access. The second part is can I setup my network to function normally without the website's assistance
