Soundtrack recording from DVD (4 posts)

I am wishing to record the soundtrack only from a dvd source, and am stumped - do I simply record using the input source (cable from headphone socket to microphone socket - will this create feedback problems?) or is there another trick to it?

Is there a simple application that I can try to get this to operate successfully - I currently use Nero and/or MusicMatch/Yahoo Media Player for my audio recording.

Plenty of free progs for this. Type "rip soundtrack from DVD" into Google and see what comes up.

Do a Google search for Xillsoft DVD Audio Ripper. You can download a Free Trial, if you like it, then why not purchase

Re: Soundtrack recording from DVD

Same method as for copying LP's or cassettes to CD. You'll need recording software of course, but otherwise it's a simple matter of connecting the audio output of the DVD player to the audio input on your sound card, just as you would connect a record turntable or cassette deck.
