I have just aquired a Mercury Notebook 1300A but it needs a 256DDR ram, a hard drive and cd/dvd drive. Do I need to buy Mercury products or will anything else be okay? Please help

Celeron 1.3? 512 of RAM would be preferable. Sodimm RAM can be touchy, take it to your local PC shop. They will fit what they have, if it works, OK, if not no harm done. 40GB HDD should be standard, shop should help here also. It should run XP OK.
