Windows ME (3 posts)

Hi all,

I know there is a tweak in XP to select a default user logon on boot, I was wondering if there is a similar tweak for ME. One of the guys at work has an old machine that he would prefer to boot to the single user account rather than have to hit the enter key each time. There is no password on this user account.

Thanks in advance

Matt

Re: Windows ME

Golly some things are easy to find answers for.

I just googled "win me no logon", and the first on the list of many websites that explain how to do it was: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article04-103

Re: Windows ME

Right click Network Neighborhood, click properties, change the Primary Network Logon to Windows Logon. Reboot, gone. That's for W98 and I am pretty sure it is the same. If it doesn't work, let me know and I will set up an ME system and have a look.
