Hello Michelle Stevens here,
In the past we had two computers networked successfuly and little problems. We networked WindowsME Peer ot Peer networking.
One computer have upgrade to WindowsXP Pro and the other still running WindowsME. The ME computer is having problems accessing the XP computer. The XP PC can recognize the ME computer and have full access. The ME computer cannot log on to the XP computer.
Does anyone have any ideas pls?
Regards
Michelle

Re: Access denied
If XP Pro is the same as Windows 2000 Pro, and I believe it is in this regard, you are going to have to ensure they are both set up as living in workgroups of the same name, not a domain, and do a login on the ME machine with a user and password that is valid on the XP Pro machine before it will let it access it.

Re: Access denied
Is the XP machine the Host? Use XP's network wizard to set things up, make the floppy and run it in the ME machine.

Re: Access denied
Michelle Gordon is right.
I have had a similar problem with 98SE and W2k. Make sure they are both in the same workgroup and put the same names and passwords in both machines.
