I am playing some Hoyle puzzle games, and the timer in the games has started going way too fast (e.g., counts down 90 seconds in about 70 seconds real time). This didn't use to happen. Note that the system clock (i.e., the date/date clock in the botton right of a Windows screen) seems to run a little too fast, as well, but nowhere nearly as fast as in a game. The basic PC is running Win XP on a Dell Dimension 4550, pentium 4-2.0 GHz, 266MHz SDRAM. I have just replaced the HD (unrelated; was too fast prior to change) and reprogrammed all. Any ideas? Any way to check the clocks and/or speed? Help.
Many thanks
