I am a vinyl lover, and I always think Cds are missing something. I have a simple question about digital music: humans are supposed to hear about 20Hz to 20,000Hz. Now, digital samples at 44.1 Hz (about 2 samples per frequency for maximum treble) and 16 bits (that's 2^16 compared to zero for volume). But what about the number to represent the real frequency at the sample point? It seems there is one third number besides the spec 44.1/16 bits. Can someone help me to understand?
kindly,
Luis.
