No audio with video (3 posts)

I used Roxio Creator Premier to transfer VHS tapes to a DVD and added background music. The video and audio play perfectly when I preview but when I burn the DVD, there is no audio. I went to the Roxio site and it seems their only solutions are always uninstall and reinstall. Well I did that and I still have the same problem. The program came with my pc. I have a Hauppauge capture card in my pc so the process of the transfer was simple and quick. I have Vista Home.

Re: No audio with video

Probably the DVD burning module isn't picking up the video track (maybe it only knows how to convert and burn the original file, maybe you're missing a step when adding the audio, maybe the burning program hasn't registered the correct audio codec — who knows...)

See if you can burn your disc with this (freeware):

Note your video file may need to be in mpeg format to be converted to DVD.

Re: No audio with video

Had the same trouble, but luckily had VCR/DVD Recorder so am recording onto RAM disk then onto PC for editing before reburning onto DVD R/DL to keep.

Roundabout system but I ran out of capture programs that would actually record the audio with the video (there's got to be but I just haven't cracked the operation yet) Don't know if this will help, but good luck
