Very possible. He needs to share the printer on the network - right click the printer select sharing etc. Then you add a printer - Network printer - browse for it, select it and away you go. If the driver is not native to XP (assuming this is what you are using) it may automatically install the driver from his pc or it may ask for the printer disk.
