Activation (2 posts)

Dear Helpscreen,

This is more an observation than a problem so I'd like your thoughts - I've just purchased Microsoft's Flight Sim 10 which only runs for 30 minutes until activated, which I've done, with no trouble. But would it have killed those people at Redmond to let us have a couple of hours play at least? There are other games that do this and it's a trend I don't like. Even Windows XP runs for a month.

Also, sooner or later I'll have to re-format this beast and I'd like to save the file or files that activated the flight sim. I presume they're buried somewhere in the registry. Is there a way to find them? Microsoft's website is no help and I hate the idea of calling them.

Regards,

Peter.

Re: Activation

Would it have killed.... No, but that's the way it is. Simple enough solution, if you don't like the system, don't buy it. If you need to reformat, you can reactivate, but if you don't want to get in this position, best bet would be to image the system now while everything is running well, so so can restore it in the event of a major issue.
