Outlook 2003 Safe Senders list (3 posts)

I had to totally rebuild my Dell laptop a month ago due to a failing hard drive. I had been having some minor problems with Outlook 2003 for a while - these continued to cause me hassles after the rebuild. I decided to bite the bullet and create a new Outlook profile (after searching various sources for assistance on my problems.) I exported all of my Outlook info: Inbox, Contacts, Notes, Calendar, Safe Senders & Recipients (text files) etc. After the new profile was created, I imported all of the above and all seemd to be working well EXCEPT that for some reason, several emails daily are sent to the Junk Mail folder, even though the senders are in the Safe Senders and Safe Recipients lists. Usually it is only about 6 or 7 of the same senders going into the wrong place (at least they're not deleted!)

I have tried re-exporting these lists to text files, editing in Notepad, to make sure that they appear OK and then after removing them via the Junk filter tools, I import them but it still hasn't fixed the problem. Help...

How can I fix this problem?

Hi Bob, Does sound like

Hi Bob,

Does sound like something is not right in all this.

You may wish to try and rebuild the list manually - as emails come into your in box, or junk mail folder you can allocate the sender as junk or safe. This will add the user name to the list manually and 'should' store each name for future reference.

You may also wish to double check that you do not have any 'rules' for delivery set, this may cause issue if they have been setup or the path is incorrect. You could also on the flip side wish to add a number of rules also. (This can be done via Tools->Rules and Alerts)!

Hope this helps,
