Dell Inspiron 1525 partition problem (3 posts)

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with pre-installed Windows Vista Home Basic. In my disk, I have already have 4 partitions, os, recovery, EISA configuration and an open, no name, no drive letter and inaccessible 2.50GB partition. I want to create a new partition to store my private data. From pcworld tutorial (http://www.pcworld.com/article/132079/partitioning_a_hard_drive_in_vista.html), I made an unallocated space. However, I can't make it into a new simple volume. Windows says I have already reached maximum number of partitions allowed.

What do I have to do? If I delete this space, does it mean that I will delete the whole space 30GB and cannot use it anymore? Can I merge it with any other? How can I put this space back to my drives? Also, can I do anything with that 2.50GB partition and extend it to the unallocated space then make it into my data partition?

Same problem here, i deleted the disk to creat two partitions, and after i created the first one I coudnt create another one. now i have 90gb that i cannot use
