Hi!
I recently had a problem with my operating system (XP). One day, it wouldn't start and this is what it said:
Windows could not start because the ff file is missing or corrupt: windowssystem32configsystem
It also said that I should try and repair it with the XP installer CD. So I did, and I was able to run Windows again. However, I noticed after this incident, that suddenly, I was unable to play my video games (NBA live, Medal of honor and F1 challenge). Nba keeps on crashing, F1 said it cannot be played because I don't have the directx 8 adapter (??) and medal of honor is looking for a file. I checked my directx (I have 9.0c installed), and the dxdiag said it works fine... no problems were found. I tried removing the games and the directx and reinstalling, but same thing happens.
What can I do? Can I cure this without reformatting my PC?
Plus, I don't know if this is related but, my explorer also suddenly slowed down especially when scrolling and some of my videos are choppy when played (when before, they were not).

After a repair, EVERY program must be reinstalled, as the registry has been wiped. Progs are still there, but won't work. Some things will try, but everything must be reinstalled to function correctly.

It's usually a good idea to reinstall all your other drivers, or at least check them after you have a problem like that. I'd pay special attention to your videocard driver.

dude..............I my pc after installing a game then if I run it it will write erro initdirecx3d.
now check this out I have downloaded directx times without number and installed them it will sya installation complet but it still cant play any kind of game.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLP ME.

Cannot play nba game
Hi im a first timer here. Im loking 4 a solution to my installed game. I succesfuly installed but when i play the games still i did play, something said looking for the original cd. Anybody there that will help me? Plz
