I have just connected to a cable modem and have a home network set up with Wingate 2.0 acting as the firewall. I can get the settings to allow MSN messenger through but can't figure out how to allow MSN chat. I haven't even tried to set up MIRC yet!
The firewall is set up with a fixed IP address and each PC that connects through the firewall also has a fix IP address.
The cable connection allocates an IP address automatically to the main machine. Any advice on firewalls would be appreciated. Paticularly ones that work well with networks and cable connections.
