I have a new Garmin StreetPilot c330 and I'm trying to update it, but the software that came with it gives me an error message. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Download latest software

Garmin has switched their software to one that auto-updates. If you visit the Garmin site, you can download the latest software. Once installed, this software will update your GPS device automatically whenever you plug it in to your computer.
