Encoding woes. (1 post)

Hello,

I am having trouble encoding some movie files to PSP format. I have a PSP-2002 Slim & Lite (Firmware 5.00). The only file format I am having trouble with is .asf. All files of this format have the audio out of sync when converted to the PSP format. I have used multiple encoding programs such as PSPVideo9, Movie Library ++, XviD4PSP and MediaCoder PSP Edition. All seem to encode everything else I have put through them without issue. There is no problem with the PSP. I know this because I check the files using QuickTime before I transfer them to the PSP and the audio is out of sync when playing in Quicktime.

I attempted to convert one of the .asf files to a 720x576 .MPEG file but the audio was still out of sync. XviD4PSP showed that the audio & video frames over the entire movie length were a few frames different so I changed them to match each other but this made no difference. I have changed the Hz, Kbps, fps, file extension and everything else I could find but my problem still exists.

The following is a selection of a few of the files I am having the issues with.

Audio: Windows Media Audio 44100Hz stereo 64Kbps [Raw Audio 0] Video: Windows Media Video 9 320x240 25.00fps 1900Kbps [Raw Video 1]

Audio: Windows Media Audio 48000Hz stereo 128Kbps [Raw Audio 0] Video: Windows Media Video 9 480x352 25.00fps 1064Kbps [Raw Video 1]

Audio: Windows Media Audio 22050Hz stereo 32Kbps [Raw Audio 0] Video: Windows Media Video 8 320x240 30.00fps 349Kbps [Raw Video 1]

I am running XP Home SP2, 2GB RAM, ASUS M3A (Dual Core) Motherboard with a nVidia 8600GT Graphics Card

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanx, Shazz
