I've got a game that runs well on Windows 98 with a FULL screen.
I managed to get it installed and run in a new computer with Windows XP by using the Compatability Wizard. However, I can only play the game in a much reduced window, about 50% of the screen.
I've tried to change the properties in the Compatability without any luck. The monitor is a LCD. Would that has anything to do with it? Is there any way to fix that problem?
I was thinking about installed Windows 98SE on a different drive from XP. Would that be a better way to tackle it?
Thank you!

Re: Compatability with Windows XP
Hi James,
I suggest you try the new (Application Compatibility Toolkit 2.0) that you can download from the Microsoft website. Maybe it will make the game run FULL SCREEN.
I hope this helps :)

Re: Compatability with Windows XP
Hi James and Sultan
If my suspicion is correct then there's an easier way.
It sounds like the games James is trying to run is an older style one that is locked into 640 x 480 screen resolution. If so enabling compatibility isn't enough, as the game will only use part of the screen, leaving a large black border.
If these symptoms sound familiar, then go back to your shortcut you use to launch the game, right-click again and choose properties. In the bottom half of the compatibility tab, there will be an entry "Run in 640 by 480 screen resolution". Simply tick the check box beside this entry and you should have fullscreen back when you play the game.
Some older games, particularly kids games, also work best if you tick "Run in 256 colours".
Hope this helps - cheers.
