Blue Lines on emails (4 posts)

How does one get rid of those annoying blue lines on emails which have been forwarded without losing the pictures etc that come with it regards Ron J

Re: Blue Lines on emails

Are you referring to the carets ?

These things ?

If so, go to www.papercut.biz and download EmailStripper Its free and it will remove all the carets from forwarded emails.

Re: Blue Lines on emails

Perhaps Ron is referring to the vertical blue lines at the left side of forwarded emails? Several 'forwards' produces multiple lines and yes, they can be irritating.

The text of the email can be cut and pasted into the composing space above, that's if you've clicked on 'reply' or 'forward' to send it on. Then delete the text at the bottom after you've duplicated it. The blue lines will go with it, leaving just the minimal bits next to the pictures you want to include, which aren't so intrusive. You could also copy the pictures to your desktop, delete them from the email and then paste them back in. All blue lines should then be gone.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to all.

Paul.
