Embedded Photos....... (5 posts)

How can I save the pictures that are embedded in an email? Meaning I received an email with photos in it (not as attachments)& I want to save them to my hard drive so I can open them in photo shop, edit them & then send them on as attachments to someone else?? If I right click, "copy" is the only option, they save as a "scrap" file which photo shop won't open............ Help please???? Thanx.. Pete.:)

Re: Embedded Photos.......

Your on the right path, right click and copy the photo. Have photoshop open then click on past within photoshop. should drop the picture in this program and then you can save the file in the format you desire. I know this works with Paint Shop - so I hope it works with Photoshop.

Re: Embedded Photos.......

Depending on your eMail program there may be the option to open the eMail in your browser. If so then you can right click on the image and save as.

By right clicking and copying you are half way there. Open MS Paint or create a new file/blank page in Photoshop then select paste. From there you can save the image and be creative as you like. Just remember that the JPEG format is lossy.

Re: Embedded Photos.......

In my wife's OE if you right click an embedded picture, just below copy it has save picture as. This gives the option to save as jpeg or bmp. Are you using OE6? Maybe upgrade if not.

Embedded Photos.......

Solved the issue.

One of the options when you open the message in Outlook 2007 under "Other Actions" is to view the message in your browser.

Open in IE and then you get the option to 'Save the picture as....'

I was wondering myself.

PITA that you have to go to such lengths- MS has stuffed up something that used to work quite easily.
