Computer starts up on its own

I don't know why your computer restarts, but it probably is a registry problem. Hope this little story helps! I have a 12 month old Windows XP Pro computer that quite often refused to shut down completely, and would hang on "Windows is shutting Down". I have used four Registry Editers hoping to solve the problem, to no avail. Then I used RegistryEasy, and the problem was solved. It has about 8 repair programs, some of which should be used with some caution. However, it is my favourate Registry Editor. It is a commercial program. To go to their site, type into Google: RegistryEasy.com. I really hope this proves to be helpfull to you! Best of luck, Ian.
