Re: AVG serial number
Hi Rhonda,
Here is your answer, it is longwinded as I have included all the relevant communication to AVG technical support for AVG7.
I ended up getting the Licence Number given my girlfriend [after being blunt] but no answers to my question. so here goes the communication with AVG Technical support for AVG7. you may need to be blunt as well to get a response.

Hi Mark I have had no response to the last email
The licence states " 2. You may install and use only one copy of the Software for single home or non-commercial organization computer protection only, irrespective of the number of times you download
the Software or the number of licenses you purport to accept."
I have the following questions which are not cover in the AVG6 FAQ and as this is not a technical question [technically] I would appreciate some answers or a place to address these questions please.
a.. You said - you cannot find any AVG Free Edition registered to my email address. When does it get registered - when I download or when I get the License number?
b.. Am I allowed to try again to download using one of my other emails accounts and see if I receive the email to activate the program? OR If I downloaded and didn't get the license then download again is this considered breaking the agreement clause above.
c.. If I give you all my email address's will this help find the download so I can get a licence number to activate the program.
d.. Does the fact that my friend downloaded AVG6 from my telephone line, onto her new computer while she was staying here, using her ISP and received her email with Licence number, affect whether I can
get a licence?
e.. Does the fact that I originally downloaded AVG6 years ago -received email with serial number while at l0lapx@aol.com l0lapx@aol.com , which has since been destroyed with the harddrive it was on, affect whether I can get a licence now that I have a different PC, ISP address etc?

I apologise if I sound frustrated.
HOW CAN GRISOFT HAVE A FREE EDITION ON THEIR WEBSITE and then not send
people emails to activate the program. And then tell the client that they cannot help.
IF I had received a License number I wouldn't be sending you emails.
I have already been notified by your department that AVG do not have any record of my registered account.
So could someone please have the courtesy to reply to my questions or give me the place where I can get the answers apart from the AVG6 FAQ section as my questions are not covered there.
It is a good advertisement for AVG when they have the generosity to supply a FREE version, but it is not good when a client who downloads this version does not receive a serial/licence number to activate the program.
If your department cannot help me by answering the questions, could you please advise me of which department in Grisoft is interested in having bugs etc reported to them and fixed up.
Thank you. Jania
Please do not fob me off. I do understand English, but it appears I am having a problem understanding American.
