Un-Share Program (2 posts)

I have two computers on the network, both using XP Pro, sharing files and the internet. Everything is working alright. Then I shared the program "gvim" (Text editor) on one computer. I can share the program through right clicking on Windows Explorer and all this is fine.

The problem:

If the computer with the installed gvim program is not turned on, then on the other computer when I try to right click a file on windows explorer, it is very slow.

I suspected that it was trying to look for the shared gvim program. I tried to un-share the gvim program, but that only makes it slower.

Any solutions to un-share the program so that the computer doesn't look for it anymore, or another way to make it stop being slow?

Note: It does slow when I try to open a program as well.

Re: Un-Share Program

Reassociate any file types it has attached itself to, back to their original programs. i.e. txt files to notepad, etc.
