Hi,

Would some kind person out there please tell me how I can get Win-Me to uninstall and then how to go about re-installing it?

I can find no reference to Windows Me in the add-remove program list at all. Is it possible to just feed in the disk and just go over the top of everything?

Yeah, I know. I sure know a lot about this! But man I am getting desperate.

Hi,

There is no actual way to uninstall Win ME unless you have the upgrade edition. In that case, there should be an uninstall option in the Add/Remove Programs area. If not, then there are only two ways to remove the damn thing:

1. Format your HD - only if you want to get rid of EVERYTHING on your HD.

2. Delete the Windows directory using DOS.

The only way to do either of these is to make a startup disk, in which you will need to choose either the second or third option that comes up.

In addition to the previous response, BACK UP ALL DATA you want to keep!

Otherwise, boot into DOS and type format/s and watch your whole drive get wiped clean...
