Outlook Compact message (6 posts)

Every time I start up my computer I receive the following message "To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages. This may take a few minutes"

Trouble is - I am using Outlook 2007 and NOT Outlook Express What do I do?

Re: Outlook Compact message

Control Panel - Internet Options - Programs. Make sure Outlook is selected next to the Email item. Also open OE and delete the old messages, or just answer yes next time you get the message.

Re: Outlook Compact message

Outlook is set as the default email and Outlook Express is not even configured and therefore has no messages.

This looks like a solution - about halfway down the page.

Look for this key in the Registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USERIdentities{GUID}SoftwareMicrosoftOutlook Express5.0 Double click the Compact Check Count Select the Base option for Decimal and change the value to 0 This should change both the Hexadecimal and decimal values to zero. Close the Registry.

Thanks Chris

That did the trick. Still beats me though why I kept getting and Outlook Express message when I don't even use the program. Thanks once again

The issue of Cameras has continually been an attention-grabbing topic and I am of the opinion Digital Cameras deserves much more conversation. In my belief I believe Digital Cameras ought to be taken more seriously by lots more people than Canon Powershot Cameras actually is.

You can scarcely begin to peruse a newspaper or glance at a TV without seeing Cameras getting commented on in debate.

Most people Deserve to comprehend what you guys believes with reference to Canon Powershot Cameras and this is why I broached the matter of Digital Cameras in the first place.
