i am wondering whether i should purchase an iphone as there may be a new model coming out very soon? help!

There are a lot of rumours going around lately about the possible launch of a new iPhone in early June, however there is no way of absolutely knowing if this will happen or not. If you are particularly after an iPhone but can wait until then, it might pay off, but the current iPhone 3G is compatible with the 3.0 Software Update, so you will be getting most (if not all) of the software improvements that will be coming to the new iPhone model with the current one.

Wait until the WWDC, new phone should be announced then.

WWDC is on June 7th, so only a few days to go.

Apple is excepted to unveil a new iPhone, as well as announce a release date for the 3.0 iPhone software, which will bring functions like MMS, Bluetooth streaming and copy and paste.

Just spoken with O2 and the new iphone is coming in 8gb, 16gb and 32gb memories as of 19th june. the 16gb and 32gb will have 3megapixel cameras. it also has new applications. Sounds great but is expensive.

i just don't know why they don't make new applications for people to download and be able to upgrade the i phone 3g ....its a robbery.
