I was recently connected to ADSL by Telstra. They supplied an Alcatel SpeedTouch 530 modem and had no problem connecting to the internet.
However, prior to ADSL, I was on ISDN and had 3 other computers connected wirelessly through a Netgear WGT624 router. All was happy until I tried to network my computers to ADSL using the ST530 and the WGT624. They just don't seem to like each other.
I was told by Netgear that the ST530 is in router mode and is in conflict with the WGT530. The ST530 can be configured as a modem but everything I have tried has been unsuccessful. Have gone into the ST530 web page and tried the easy setup wizard but it did not work either.
Telstra support is of no use, they just haven't got the technical know how to guide me through the process of bridging the ST530.
Would appreciate any help from anyone who may have experienced a similar problem.
