Sony NWZ-E436F (5 posts)

Hello again, I have a new Sony NWZ-E436F and I would like to put movies/videos onto it. I have the software that came with it but it does not convert the video, it just checks whether it is compatible or not. I also have media coder but I can't seem to get the mp3/4 player to play the videos. Thanks, Nat

Is anyone going to reply to this??

I have exactly the same problem - HELP please.

Hi, The Sony NWZ-E436F

Hi,

The Sony NWZ-E436F supports MPEG-4, WMV9 and AVC-BL video formats. If the video you want to copy to your Walkman is not in one of these formats and the Sony program is not converting it for you, you will need a stand-alone converting program.

A popular program is AVS Video Converter, available at http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter.aspx . That site has a 'User Guides' section which should provide all the necessary information to convert videos to the Sony Walkman's supported formats.

Thanks!

You need to ensure your video file has a frame size of 320 x 240 - any bigger and it will not accept the file - see page 118(?) of the manual that came with the player. I use AVS video converter - set up a mp4 template that converts to this frame size. I have a full episode of Chuck, plus other video files on my Sony. Hope this helps!
