I installed ubuntu 7.04 on hard drive that has xp on it. It made new partition but it is not active. How do I use the partition with ubuntu on it?

I've never done it myself, but if I recall there is a facility in XP that permits you to create a dual boot option- this must be done to allow you the option of booting to either Ubuntu or XP. Do a search on Google for dual booting with XP.

Hi, My Ubuntu installation used the GRUB loader to install as dual with my XP and when booting up, I'm given the choice of XP or Ubuntu - it's either one or the other although Ubuntu 7.10 (I think) has the capability of reading and writing to your NTFS XP files. Allan
