On Monday Corel released CGS X5. After being locked in on a NFD for the last 12 months as part of the user team I can tell you guys a few stories about this software.

For a start it's written by a company whose total staff is 1/6 of the number of people Adobe retrenched in 2009. I can tell you they really busted the guts on this release. As a bit of a quick list from memory... Windows 7 compatible (I'd say runs best on due to the Win 7 CM)

Code has been torn apart and reassembled to support multi threading Colour engine has been replaced and the management interface New dimension tools What I'd call a 'developer preview' of a new utility which will eventually become Corel's answer to Bridge Improved Auto Trace New maths for various image scaling functions New print engine Ghostscript used as an import filter for certain Postscript formats Upgraded filters for AI, EPS, PDF, PSD, DXF (and more) Pixel view for Draw New web output system for PNG, JPG & GIF Eyedropper for every colour selector Improved layer/object system for Photo-Paint

It's quite a list.

With that is packaged Swish MiniMax PhotoZoom (Bitmap enlargement) 30 classic Monotype fonts More clipart Instructional Videos http://www.youtube.com/coreldrawchannel (Done by an Aussie)

There would be more than 40 of us trained up to the max to answer any questions in the forum.

As upgrades go this one is a must have. Grab the trial you won't be disappointed.
