Word document icon show as wordpad icon (7 posts)

I have office 2003 and my word document icons show as a wordpad icon, i dont know why.

could someone please help

Do they open in Word or Wordpad? If they open in Wordpad, your file association requires re-setting to Word.

Apart from that?

It opens up in word. I'm not that much of a n00b, lol.

Just checking- It pays to get the whole story. If everything seems Ok, then we don't really have a problem- Nuisance maybe.

Sorry that I can't offer a plausible solution.

Open up windows explorer and go to the folder options. Look at file types, locate Word files and look at advanced and change the icon.
