I received a mp3 player for my birthday. After fiddling with it, I realised I cannot put music onto it. I can only record it. Whenever I try to drag and drop music onto it in Windows Explorer, it says the mp3 player/USB is write-protected. I managed to get stuff off the mp3 player by copying it off. Please help!

What brand & model? What computer operating system are you using? Nothing useful in the instructions? If you try to copy music to it, you may be trying to copy to the wrong place - likely if you explore its directory structure and find music already on it, or a file that you recorded, it will let you copy to that location.

Is it on hold/lock? Make sure its not, because that could be your problem
