Seems a silly little question but it bugs me. Normally when I open Outlook Express on the bottom of the window shows Connecting, Authorising, whether new messages or none. All of these instant advices no longer appear, and only the word Internet has taken its place. I therefore have go up to the Receive/Send All button on the top toolbar to get this information.
I would like to restore them to the bottom of the opening page, but have been unable to fathom out how to accomplish this.
Help will be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Outlook Express send/receive status
From the menu, select Tools - Layout and make sure that Status Bar is selected.

Re: Outlook Express send/receive status
I do believe that Stephen john Byrne meant whilst in Outlook Expres, go to View/Layout and make sure that status bar is selected. Dave
