New DirectX prevents my server (3 posts)

Ok, I operate on Win 98, I just downloaded the newest version of directX from the MS website. However, I receive Runtime Error 429 when I try to run my server. I've never had this problem before when I try to run my playerworlds MMORPG server. Any ideas guys?

Sounds like one of the drivers you're running on your PC has the gripes with directx 9.0c. I've seen it before. Try upgrading your device drivers to the newest versions. These can either be found on the vendor's websites or the vendor of your system.

429 is more then likiely display, update and see. If you have a nivida card should solve the issue.
